Father Dominic CHAN Chi-ming was ordained in 1979 to serve the Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong, and was an eighth-generation native of Yim Tin Tsai. He was born into a Catholic family, with several members becoming clergy, including his great uncle Rev. Joachim CHAN Tang-shue. Although Father CHAN Chi- ming did not grow up in Yim Tin Tsai, his elders grew up here, and the ancestral home bears witness to the many clerics raised by his family who dedicated themselves to church service.
